This week I don't have a project to show, but I have a new craft room to share with you.  My son wanted to switch his room with my craft room because the bedroom had tile on the floor and he didn't like that. It works fine for me, since the room is about twice as big.  Score!

This is where I started on Sunday.  A giant mess!

Most of these books are going the thrift store since I rarely read books twice, and some of them are years old.  No need to keep them around.

Next Josiah is going to transfer my fabric shelves to the new room. I can't wait for that because it will cover a bunch of air soft b-b holes on the walls.  Guess he liked to play target practice on the walls when he was bored.  He assure me that only did that when he was much younger and it won't be happening anymore.

Hmmm...

Hello, Friends!

It's SHOW AND TELL TUESDAY and I am excited to show you my latest finish!

The quilt measures approximately 38" X 42".  I think it is a nice wallhanging size, don't you?

I am done with my triangle quilt.  And I really like how it came out.  It crinkled up perfectly after drying too!

I used Rachel's tutorial to cut the triangles.  She really made it simple to cut the pieces without a template.

This was a new color palette for me, and I chose it for a friend who is rather non-girly (no pink!) and is on the modern side of things.  I am pretty sure she is going to like it.

Another triangle quilt might be in my near future.  This is one of those hard-to-give-away creations, for sure!

every little thing...

...is gonna be alright.

I love snowball bushes!  My grandma had one in her yard when I was little and I always loved the flowers--so big and billowy and white!

My grandma lived to be 100 years old and she gave me this little bit of wisdom to hold onto---"everything always works itself out just fine".

Sometimes it's hard to perceive that, but it's true.  Life has a way of going on, the sun always comes up, and things always get better.

Even the hard things.

So, I go forward into this day knowing that every little things is gonna be alright.

Because it's the truth!

triangles quilted

Yesterday I came across a bit of sewing time and I managed to quilt my triangle quilt top!

I simply did straight line quilting, so it was quick and easy.  The binding is all cut and ready to go---can I get this done tomorrow?  

We will see. 

This is my last super-busy week for a while and I am really looking forward to a regular schedule.  Perfect timing since summer seems to be sneaking in.

Aubry and I got some sewing time in this week and we managed to finish her quilt top.  She is super excited about it!

She did much of the sewing and all of the choosing of fabrics.  She is redecorating her room, and this goes along with what she wants.

this picture tells me...

...that I am short.

...that I love my family.

...that I LOVE being a mom.

...that either my camera has a little glitch or my son had something on his nose that we missed.

...that I have really cool kids.

...that those kids bless me each and every day.  

...that the two missing from the picture are sorely missed.  Love you, girls!

...or not!

With the rain coming down outside, Aubry and I managed to finish her quilt top!  Very cool!

Now I have 2 tops ready to be quilted and next week looks wide open to do that.

Could it be that I may actually get them done soon?

That would be amazing!

spring-y things

***Aubry and I are pretty sure that birds are making a nest in this birdhouse.  Very fun!  This means that babies could be on the way!

***My crabapple tree does not seem to be thriving.  Miracle Gro to the rescue?  Crossing my fingers on this one, because I love that tree!

***Time to plant some new grass in the backyard.  It's on this weekend's to-do list.

***Gonna learn to use the bbq.  Last year I just about set the house on fire while using it, so I know I need to tone it down.  A hose nearby will be a given during the learning phase!

***Rain storm rolled through at 5 AM.  I love the sound of raindrops!
