This month's apron is a men's bbq apron!
I teach a monthly apron class at a local store, and I decided to branch out a little bit and include the men. In fact, I have one guy signed up for the class! The other students are from my usual apron group---they are fun group of girls!
The (somewhat) willing model here is the owner of the building where I teach. He was a pretty good sport since modeling was not his "thing".
This summer I plan on working up some of my aprons into classes here on my blog and shop. Just have to wait until my time is more freed up...

I am still plugging away on my triangle quilt. Three rows are sewn together and the rest are just waiting to join in! Somehow I ended up attaching my 3rd row improperly, so that is why there are triangle "wings". The make the row big enough for the quilt.
I am hoping to finish this one today.

My triangles are coming together! And they are quite fun and simple to piece. Rather quick, once you get the hang of it.
These are a little less than half of my rows, and once I have the "opposite" rows sewn, the edges won't seem so wonky.
This one is going to be hard to give away simply because I love the triangles! Maybe a scrappy one for myself with come on the tail end of this one. Although I am honestly not sure where I will put it. It seems my house may be too full of quilts.
Or is that even possible???

...unfortunately!
I used to bake muffins and cookies all the time! But then I found that my weight was being affected (it's a bummer when you get old enough for that to start happening!). So I quit. For a long time. And I missed the baking. And the fact that my kids love to eat the goodies!
Lately, Aubry has become the little baker and I guess I am following in her footsteps. I find that I don't really want to eat them anymore (well, chocolate chip cookies really call my name!) and I can bake and let the kids enjoy.
Good stuff!
I made these French Breakfast Puffs a couple of days ago and was a little disappointed at their size. The kids, however, noted that the small size made a better "muffin to butter/sugar ratio".
Works for me!

Hi Friends! It's time to Show and Tell!
This week I actually have a FINISH to show you! A FINISH!
Sheesh, I have so many things going on in my life right now, that a finish seems amazing. At least to me. :)
The baby quilt is done, which is great since baby is over 2 months old already. Ooops!
This quilt was so fun to machine-quilt since I did a lot of it on my dream machine! Surprisingly, it quilted up about in about 30% of the time it takes on my regular machine. I was so happy about that!
This time I did little loop-de-loops. They are quick and fun and perfect for baby.
Mom didn't want any pink on baby girl's quilt, so we went bright with added orange for girliness.
The quilt came out quite big--about 50" X 50".
I used my last piece of floral Oh Deer for the backing. Actually that print was my initial color inspiration.
