I am seriously happy about this purchase!
And it's only made better since it was $15.
I was browsing at an antique store this weekend and I came across a Ziploc bag crammed full of something interesting. After inspecting it and seeing the price tag of $15---$15!!!---I got pretty excited!
The bag contained a partially finished Double Wedding Ring quilt made with (I am guessing here, but I am pretty sure) 30's and 40's fabrics (including some feedsacks judging by the feel) and it's all hand-stitched and in amazing condition!
For $15!
Is it clear that I am thrilled about the price tag?
Specifically the bag contains a quilt top (partially finished) that measures72" side to side with twenty-four 16" pieces to add. I am sure this could easily fit a twin bed or full size when finished.
Oh geez! I am so happy about this!
Once Christmas is done I will be working to finish this quilt. I will probably handstitch the rest of it since it is curved piecing. I am so glad I did some of this piecing earlier in the year. And I will be sending this one out to be quilted. I want it done in a traditional design, and I, honestly, don't have the patience for something like that.
So, there you have it. Quite possibly my favorite purchase of this entire year!
Have a happy day!
