PIN IT TO WIN IT UPDATE

Dear Friends,

I was highly surprised to check my emailand  find that over 80 people had responded with winning pinboards in the PIN IT TO WIN IT challenge.

When I set out to try the challenge, I honestly had no idea that it would spread in popularity like it did.  My hope was for at least 3 winners, and I spread the challenge over 3 days to make sure that someone would win for sure!

Now, in light of the fact that so many people filled up their pins, I am completely unable to give away that much fabric, and for this, I am tremendously sorry.  I do know that this will be disappointing to many people.

I will be giving away bundles to the first 10 people who responded to the challenge, and I will post their names and pins here later today.

I will be holding the challenge once a month on my blog in place of a Fat 1/8 Tuesday giveaway, and next time the guidelines will better reflect how the challenge actually works.

Again, I apologize for this!  I never intended to promise something that I am unable to deliver.

12 buckets o' tomatoes

A friend and I went crazy in a tomato field on Saturday.

Not really, but you would have though that's what we were doing.  

We picked 264 pounds of these lovelies and brought them home to be processed.  Along with 50 pounds of onions.

Throughout the picking process we pondered whether or not the spaghetti sauce was really necessary, or whether a winter without tomato soup would be that bad.

But we persevered.  And stuck with it.  And picked 'em all!

All 12 buckets.

Now all we need to do is process them.

No big task, right?

Hmmm...wrong.

But still fun.

Now, in order to win that bundle, you need to have your pin repinned the same amount of times as the dollar amount of the bundle.  For example, if the bundle costs $15.75, get it repinned 15 times and it's yours.  Free!
