The apple core quilt has been laid out and stacked!
The pictures here have terrible lighting and are rather washed out, because I did this while 6 boys, ages 12-18, were hanging out at my house. I just didn't think that leaving the pieces on the living room floor waiting for the sun to shine correctly, while they ran in and out of my house was the best idea, you know?
Amusingly, they did stop to admire my quilt and say it was cool:
Again, the colors of the fabric are quite washed out in the picture.
It dawned on me that not only will I be piecing the curved seams together as individual pieces, but each row will be wavy when I sew them together.
Interesting.
First I am going to practice with some of the leftover pieces, since I don't want to start on the actual quilt pieces until I have a feel for sewing the curves.
I will let you know how it goes.
Wish me luck!
