For some reason I have been so worried about attempting straight-line quilting again!
That could be why I have so many projects going right now. If I start something new, I don't have to quilt the one I am working on, right?
Well, my quilting worked out perfectly on the table runner, with no bunching or pulling of the fabric. It could be because I used a walking foot rather than the regular sewing foot. Last time I straight-line quilted, my fabric pulled and, although no one could really see it but me, I was disappointed with the finished project, and it made me feel unsure about starting a new one.
Now I am off to work on Emily's quilt. It's going to be hours and hours of straight-line quilting once the top is done, but I am OK with that. This small success took away the concerns I had.
What about you? Is there anything you are hesitating to try because you are worried about the outcome?
***I HAVE A WALKING-FOOT FOR MY OLD SINGER AND I DON'T USE IT ANYMORE, SO IF YOU NEED ONE, LEAVE ME A COMMENT AND I WILL SEND IT YOUR WAY. IT SHOULD WORK ON ALL SINGER MODELS (AT LEAST THE NEWER ONES). BE SURE TO LEAVE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IN YOUR COMMENT. SINCE I ONLY HAVE ONE, I WILL GIVE IT TO THE 1ST COMMENTER TO MENTION THEY WANT IT. :)
