i have to say...

shop notes: the shelves are full!

Today would be a perfect day to send out a newsletter, but I just don't have the time.  My daughters and I are will be engaged in wedding plans all weekend long since my sweet bride-to-be will be leaving to spend time with her almost-hubs until about 2 days before the wedding.  Yikes!

I wanted to let you know that my shelves are full---FULL, I tell ya!---of fabulous new fabrics.  Dolce, Meadowsweet, Nicey Jane, Hope Valley and Woodland Delight have all arrived.  I am seriously impressed with the look of my little shop and it's shelves.  So beautiful!   Next week Flora and Fauna will be arriving as well.

it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

...and I love it!

As of yesterday morning I hadn't done one bit of Christmas shopping yet.   The snow motivated me to jump in the car and drive--slowly--to the store to buy some fun gifts for my kids.  Really, I had a song in my heart and I felt so happy that Christmas is coming once again.

One good thing is that this year everyone will be home.  My daughter moved back home from Oregon last week (yeah!!!!) and it has been so nice to have her back.  Her return was a Thanksgiving surprise and I couldn't be happier.  Things are falling into place and it is so nice to see her working towards some exciting opportunities.  God is good and prayers have been answered!

Of course, a snowy day wouldn't be complete without hot chocolate.  Aubry and I sipped from our matching, super-cool mugs right before she and the boys went out to do some sledding. 

Sometimes it seems as if life just works.

And it makes me happy.  So happy!

i am one of "those" people

My computer is still plugging along and working better now, but I have to take it in again today because I can't shut it down from the start menu, only from the tower.  Apparently, this is not good.

The lady at the computer place described me as "one of those computer people".  One who knows a little bit about computers, but not enough to really know what they are doing.  I guess this makes me dangerous.  This could be the reason that there is a window stuck on my desktop that no-one can remove. It's there because I tried to do a little bit of repair myself.  Ooops!  Even my computer-gal can't get it off!  Must remember to leave these things to the pros.

My wreath is done.  I must say it was a bit of a challenge to make since the bulbs kept popping off.  The reason it is sitting on the hearth is that I couldn't get the ribbon attached without popping going on at a rate I couldn't stand.  Also, I had to re-do it 3 times since I kept needing to redistribute bulbs properly.  All blue on one side didn't cut it for me.

In spite of the challenges, I think she looks fine.  Just don't touch or bulbs will be flying on the floor and more of the hanger will show through.  She is a delicate girl, I tell ya!

I may be scarce the rest of the week since fabric for my shop has been showing up on my doorstep like crazy.  Yes!  Listing has been keeping me quite busy and it may be Monday before I can return.
