Over the last few months I have been slowly growing out of my craft space, which started with just a desk and a table to cut and sew. When I saw Creative Little Daisy's craft room re-do, I knew I had stumbled upon something good. Not only would her idea provide more room, but it was also inexpensive.
First off, I had to enlist my husband to help. Honestly, things didn't go well at first because I expected his "let's imagine the possibilities" attitude and not his "let's analyze the problems with this" mood. Things were put off for a few days until we made up and decided to go for it. (Now that's honesty for you, right?)
We bought free-standing cabinets from Home Depot and door blanks for the desktop. Not only is my desk bigger, but my cutting and sewing area is expanded too. This makes it easier for me to make a sewing mess and let it sit while I cut fabric for orders. Yeah!
"Perfect" is the word that describes how I feel about this little room of mine and I have promised my husband that the loveliness of it won't lead to me spending all of my time here.
Really, I promise!
Many thanks to my hubs, because I could not have done this without his help. He is a true gem!
Happy Tuesday!
