We had a lovely weekend! It seems like it went away too fast!
Of course, we ate too much. I wanted to get a good start on those unwanted holiday pounds. Not!
I also bought a new pair of running shoes (maybe the unwanted holiday pounds started before the holiday!?!). My old shoes are like bald tires on the bottom, and that is just no good!
Can I run a 5K this spring? I hope so. The last time I tried running, my knees didn't like it. But I am going to try a more conservative approach this time (more conservative that just trying to run the 5K tomorrow and then giving up because it is WAY TOO HARD!)
I can't decide whether to start the program now or wait until late winter/early spring when it warms up a little bit. Whatever happens, I need to do something!
My hubs was kind enough to get me a watch so that I can time my running/walking intervals, but at this point I am unable to program it. I got the watch stuck in the interval-timer mode and the manual does not explain how to get it back to regular watch mode. Technology is not my friend! Tomorrow I will ask one of my kids to do it.
Is it just me, or are kids a requirement for getting through all of this computer/digital/technology stuff. How come they understand it naturally and we don't?
It is their age, I am sure! Youth has many advantages.
How was your weekend? Anything new with you?
