Deb H.

Thank you, Erin. We have had a tough year, also. Thank you for the reminder that I need to examine my heart to make sure I am also not holding a grudge against God. I am sorry about your friend. I have had that happen, too, in the past and it still pains me.
Have a Blessed Christmas.

So true about expectations from God. Thanks for the reminder and for being so open to share this.

Thank you for the reminder. It's hard to remember that God's plans are better than mine.

It's a good post. Thanks you! We have expectations of others, ourselves and God that are not always in line with what God wants for our lives.

I want to mention something though. When you say that you had to "forgive God" that makes me cringe a bit. We can never forgive God because he is perfect. We need to ask forgiveness from Him (and he will give it!) when we sin against Him in that way. And I think that is what you intended to say?

Have a good day, in that hands of God. Alisa

Beautifully written post. Good reminder.

I needed this today thank you for your obedience

@alisa...sorry i don't have a different way to respond yet, i'm not very computer savvy. thank you for your comment. i wanted to let you know that i actually did mean that i had to forgive God. as i said in the post, God had done nothing wrong, but i was sort of blaming Him for the things that i was unhappy with. God doesn't need my forgiveness, however if i am a holding a grudge, against God or anyone else, i need to forgive. there's a saying that unforgiveness is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die. forgiving someone (or God) is for me to be free. i'll be writing more about forgiveness in upcoming posts. thanks again!

Enjoyed reading through this, very good stuff, thanks . "Be not careless in deeds, nor confused in words, nor rambling in thought." by Marcus Aurelius Antoninus.

My spouse and I absolutely love your blog and find almost all of your post's to be exactly I'm looking for. Do you offer guest writers to write content for you personally? I wouldn't mind composing a post or elaborating on most of the subjects you write about here. Again, awesome blog!
