Did you grow up with that phrase? Clear your plate, there are starving children in Africa (China, Russia). You have to clear your plate before you can have dessert. You're gonna sit there until you eat every one of those brussel sprouts. (Thankfully, I like brussel sprouts!)
Clear your plate!
Last Monday I wrote about what was on my plate for last week. It was a lot of overwhelming stuff. This week I am pleased (more than pleased - delighted) to report that God cleared my plate. Sure, I had to show up and do the footwork, but God did the plate clearing.
Daddy to be: Plastic surgery done on Friday am. Mommy to be: Moved in to our house on Tuesday. Youngest boy: well, still waiting for special time with mom, but calmer and more peace filled. Tomatoes: all finished and in the freezer with only 3 that went bad. I even got some sewing time! All that wondering about, 'Can I do this?' covered and done!
Yesterday our church brought several meals for us so I don't have to cook for a couple of days. What a blessing! Never underestimate the power of someone else cooking a meal for you. I still have a busy week this week, more doctor appts, (including gender identifying ultrasound on the grandbaby this afternoon). BUT!! This week I know that I don't have to clear my plate alone! God is in the business of taking care of all our needs. Whew!
This week I'm purposefully going to work on NOT clearing my plate. It's time for me to take care of myself and begin to lose some fat I've been carrying around. I'm gonna eat more brussel sprouts (lol) and less sugar. I'm going to walk with the kids and the dogs. I'm going to let God keep clearing my plate of the things that weigh me down (pun intended)
and I'm going to have a great week!!
I hope and pray you do too!
As Dory says in Finding Nemo, "Just keep swimming."

Did I ever need this, thanks Randi. I lost touch with your other blog as my husband lost his job, found one in NY (and we are in TX) and I had to go to work for the first time in 20 years. So, I entered the work force and became practically a single mother to 9 kids all at once (although not really, he just couldn't be both physically here and in NY). Through this whole struggle we have truly felt God's presence, and yes there is beauty from Ashes! This is a long comment, but in all of this a strain has been placed on my relationship with my Mom and it has been painful - this post you wrote spoke to my heart, thank you!
God is good, through a strange set of circumstances I was able to go back to being a stay at home Mom and my kids are thrilled (not that I will ever think it is wrong to work outside the home again, because I 'get' it now...I'm just very happy to be home)

Thanks for your write-up. Another factor is that just being a photographer requires not only problem in recording award-winning photographs and also hardships in acquiring the best camera suited to your requirements and most especially challenges in maintaining the standard of your camera. This really is very correct and clear for those professional photographers that are in capturing the particular nature's fascinating scenes : the mountains, the forests, the wild and the seas. Visiting these amazing places definitely requires a camera that can meet the wild's severe areas.
