So, I climbed that Manitou Incline once again! It was a lovely day on Saturday and actually pretty cold, which worked out well once I got going on the steps. And the wind was nice enough to hold on until we reached the top.
There are 2,000+ stairs.
The incline is almost one mile long.
And it gains 2,000 feet in elevation.
My time was 1 hour and 6 minutes.
My goal for the end of the summer is a time closer to 50 minutes, which is totally do-able. My son hiked with my this weekend and did it in 38 minutes. Sheesh!
Not girly shoes, but shoes like Vans, Converse and Doc Martens. This girl rarely wears heels!
I found these Hello Kitty Vans a couple of weeks ago and they were 50% off.
Have I mentioned that I love Hello Kitty?
And that I LOVE a good sale?
Oh my gosh, these were like a perfect storm for my feet!
I met a little girl at a basketball game last weekend and she had a Hello Kitty watch on. We bonded, to say the least. She sat by me the whole time, pretty much snuggling me and being my best buddy. It was really cute.
I made a list of things I wanted to during summer, and most of those things got done. Very nice! So a list for fall fun is mandatory because I find that if I write it down, it's a goal, rather than just a wish. So here goes:
Corn Maze and/or Pumpkin Patch
Take pictures of the leaves turning
Make apple pie
Go on a winery tour
Spend a few days at my sister's house
Have friends over and make s'mores over the fire
Jump in leaf piles with my kids
Take a drive in the mountains. No plan or destination. Just drive.
What about you? Do you have any good ideas for fall fun?
I photographed a wedding this weekend for a dear friend. And let me tell you that I did not feel up to the task! But thanks to a friend who helped out tremendously (and was very good at posing people), I think that all went well.
It's a big deal to be responsible to the picture of a wedding. I mean, it's not like you can call everyone back a few days later when you find that the photographs stink!
Here is one with the bride:
So far I have only been able to play around with some of the pictures of the groom and his guys, but there are some cute ones so far. I like that they reflect this silly, wonderful group of young men!
Here is the couple's adorable little girl. She was cracking up at her grandma:
