My Nook cover is done! And I do love how it came out.
This tutorial was my guide, but I did have to change the measurements just a bit since my Nook is a different size than the Kindle shown in the blog post.
Picking the fabric was pretty easy since I knew I wanted grey and yellow. The aqua binding was a surprise--even to me!--and I am really glad that I used it. It just seems to work.
The quilting is super simple:
I pulled the plastic canvas out out from behind the e-reader just a bit so you could see. It adds a bit of sturdiness. I use my Nook at home (rather than taking it out when I go places) so I didn't need something extremely durable. A little batting and the canvas will do just fine for my needs:

I do love making little goodies for myself. A little bit of color and cuteness make me smile.
