I have been debating whether or not to post this here. There is a fine line between helping someone and invading their privacy, you know? At this point, all of this information is public knowledge and I think the time is right to ask for some prayer.
One of my closest friends has a sister who has been missing since Saturday. She was last seen in the afternoon. Her cell phone, purse and keys are all in her apartment and her car is parked where it usually is. There is no sign of forced entry or a struggle.
Search and Rescue teams and the police are searching the area by the river close to our house since a couple of her personal items were found there. There are lots of personnel from all over our state that have come to help find her.
My request, of course, is that she will be found very soon, in good health. I am hoping for a miracle at this point. Also, please pray for her family. She has a very loving, close-knit group of people who are waiting very anxiously for her return. No matter what happens, I know that the love of this family will carry them through anything they have to deal with.
I believe in the power of prayer. I believe in the power of a family's love. And I believe in a person's ability to overcome difficult and terrifying times as they lean on and trust in God.
Please lift this up in prayer.
