It is getting close to the time to buy summer clothes and money will be tight this year, like it is for everyone! I found this very simple tutorial for a little girl's skirt and I managed to make 3 in one hour. You could easily make these with fabrics from your fabric stash. Mix and match and have fun!
The tutorial is for a 2-year old, but I cut the pieces 32"X10" for the main skirt piece and 40"X5" for the ruffle to fit Aubry, age 7.
Now all I need is to come up with a pair of bloomers to go under this year's skirts because my girl forgets that she isn't wearing shorts and ends up giving too much of a show, if you know what I mean. Maybe bicycle shorts are the way to go.
