Many thanks for all of the sweet, encouraging comments yesterday! I was very nervous about unveiling my little plan, but your response made me glad that I did. When it comes to hatching plans, I can handle it, but actually doing things is another story, because I obsess over the possibility of failure.
Tell me I am not the only one who does that!
This has been a lesson in patience for me, because everything has taken twice as long as I figured! Getting the fabric is not happening fast either, but I did manage to place my orders late yesterday and I am hoping the ladies I am dealing with will be able to fill my order before they leave for Quilt Market. If they can't, I will have to wait another week. I hope they realize that I want my stuff NOW! (Read that last sentence in your best Veruca Salt voice--with all of the attitude!)
"...the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self‑control."Ephesians 5:22
Things are starting to grow around my house and I love it! This is the most exciting time of the year for me because it seems so full of promise. All things are becoming new!
As you can see, Maddie is becoming a beast. She is going to be the size of a small-ish bear, I am sure of it!
Have a great day!
***I updated my shop with some hostess aprons. Click here to see them!

Oh, what a wonderful new adventure you are embarking on! I too obsess about all the things that can go wrong so I know how you are feeling. But this adventure sounds like so much fun and the happy colors and patterns alone will make you smile :)) Good luck! I pray that your new venture will be successful and that you develop your gifts along the way. I'll be watching to see how it goes.
And I love your spring photos. We'd be happy to see some leaves here - it's been so cold that everything, including the dandelions, is staying tucked away.

Oh look at the LILACS!!! We can't grow them here in Florida and I miss them so much. I bet the smell around your house is the best.
I wish you the best on your new business venture!

Randi, I cracked up at your Veruca Salt reference!
Obsessing over the possibility of failure? Nah, I can't imagine ANYONE doing THAT! ;-Þ

Lilacs are some of my favorite flowers. These photos are gorgeous.
Praying for your business.
What kind of dog is Maddie? Lab and something else? She is so precious. We just got a new dog recently, too. Come visit and check out our Shelby.

*When it comes to hatching plans, I can handle it, but actually doing things is another story, because I obsess over the possibility of failure.* No you are not the only one that feels that way. I has been my dream for years to buy a home. Being a single parent, I have held back. I have found the house and, GET THIS, I would even be able to HAVE MY OWN CRAFT ROOM!
And I am scared to death!

I meant to say this yesterday and forgot - I think it's a great idea you have. Almost all of my online fabric purchases originated from your link list, so it makes sense that you might as well sell it yourself!
I'm sure I'll eventually be a customer!:)

Pretty, pretty flowers, Randi.
I look forward to your store! I just started using a new-to-me machine and after a small curtain project this past weekend, I'm on a roll. I just know I won't be able to resist some of the fabrics you stock. Can't wait!

Congratulations on your new venture! I'll have to tell my sewing friends about it! (I, unfortunately, can barely get a stitch straight!)

Oh I love Lilacs...they bring back so many fond memories of my childhood.
Yes I am very guilty of worring about failure. Remember my middle name???

Oh Randi! I had a peek at your aprons -- they're just adorable. Your flowers are so pretty -- it's wonderful to finally have spring arrive, isn't it?

Oh, goodness, don't I ever have to quote that verse to myself daily!! Emphasis on the "patience" virtue as well.

You are definitely no the only one! I do it all the time! And I wish you great success with your new endeavor. I'm sure it will bloom and grow just like everything outside is right now.

Fear of failure (or not being perfect) often stops me from trying new things. I've always admired your strength and courage to try new adventures!

I found your blog from a link to your site from a close friend's blog. What a great idea with your fabric store! What fabrics will you be selling? Good luck with everything!

Maddie is beautiful. Those big brown eyes just made me melt, and her passion for watermelon makes me love her just that much more. Good luck on Etsy shop.
