Sew, Mama, Sew is hosting Bag Month throughout the month of June. If you have not visited her blog this month, you must. There are lots of tutorials, pattern reviews and a contest. The bag below is my entry and the post is my description of the bag that I sent along with my entry:
"This handbag is made with Katie Jump Robe fabric using my own pattern. This would be perfect for a shopping trip or just a fun day out. There is a large pocket inside with a smaller side pocket that would hold a water bottle or a baby bottle, so it could be used as a diaper bag as well.
I used a tutorial found in a Martha Stewart magazine to make the bias tape that I used around the curved top edges.
This bag is on it's way to a craft show this weekend where, hopefully, it will find a wonderful, new home!"

What a beautiful bag Randi. I would have to say of all the bags you have made so far...this is my favourite. So bright and cheery and the button...well that's just the icing on the cake.
Good luck with your craft fair!

I have to believe you are going to do great at the craft fair! The fabrics you've chosen for all the bags you've posted picture of are gorgeous :-)
It's making me wonder...can a woman ever have too many bags? You almost need a special one to coordinate with every outfit you have...hehe!

Way cool bag Randi- I bought some fabric (thrifted) and thought I'd make some new covers for my couch pillows...thinking about trying to make my own bias tape too...was it hard?
Love your bag...please move to CT and be my best friend! I'd so love to come over to your house and learn from you!

Randi, what a gorgeous bag! You are so talented. I've never sewed a stitch with a sewing machine in my life. But you're inspiring me to add it to the list of things I want to try!
I have 2 teenage boys; to be completely honest, I LOVE having teenagers. I think it's much more fun than when they were toddlers. I'll be praying for you and your family while you enjoy those teenagers!
Blessings,
Trish

Hope the sale is successful and I must say, this is my favorite bag you have made. I wouldn't have chosen this color scheme (as you well know), but I have to give great credit where credit is due.
Nice job. Let me know how things go. See you at the park!
