Here is a tutorial for your girl, aged 10 and up, to make with your guidance. For a beginner I would suggest making the outside of the bag out of one piece of fabric, but if you choose to piece the fabrics together, take your time and all will be well.
The last step of the tutorial has tips on making the bag bigger (up to adult-sized), and the one shown will work for 5-10 year old girls.
You can access the tutorial here, and it will also remain in my sidebar.
Happy sewing!
***If you make one of these, you may post a picture here!
That bag is too adorable! I love the fabrics that you chose. I think this will be Girlkiddo's next sewing project.

hi for a little while, but just was nihckecg out your blog! This was really cool and encouraging to read, and I'm so excited for your milestones, and the ones that are to come! You're doing awesome! I don't know if you've ever tried spinning, but I just had to share that I got addicted to it about 6 months ago and it is by far the best workout I've ever done. I LOVE it. Seriously. It's a highlight of my week (am I lame or what?!) I spin for an hour 4 or 5 days a week-like you, i'm trying to get back in shape, and even though I haven't had the success you have in pounds so far, I know I'm so much stronger. Spinning might be a good compliment to your running and it's a CRAZY calorie burner (800+ calories per hour!!)Just wanted to say congrats and give you a new workout idea!! Coming to SB anytime soon??
