Aubry was in the mood to make something so we grabbed the button jar, some wire and a piece of ribbon after we found this tutorial. Leave it to Martha to make something so sweet!
You could make these for the tree or for small gift decorations. Little girls may want to personalize these using a friend's favorite colors for the buttons and ribbons.
One bonus about this craft? There is almost no mess involved! Except for picking up some buttons, the clean-up time was just a minute or two. This makes it a perfect craft in my book!

Those are adorable. I need to borrow a girl. I could enjoy an afternoon of this.
I would like to link this if I could. I don't think you will mind, but I'll do it tomorrow so if you DO mind, scream quickly.

How cute! This one would have been good for me to do with my niece today. I made the scarf you posted a while back. They turned out so cute, but my 7 1/2 year old did great while my almost 6 year old niece, well, lets just say my mom and I made a nice scarf! :) We are going to wrap them tomorrow for them to take home to give to their mom for Christmas. Thanks for the great idea!

Two words for you: fun and adorable!
I just need to find some buttons... I think that would take every button I have-- and they are mostly black and other un-cheery neutrals. Maybe a BRIGHT ribbon will distract from the apparent dullness of my family's wardrobe.

Love this. I have an old button tin that came from my grandfather's house. I may let the girls lose on it this afternoon. Not sure I have wire though.

You know, I've made button wreaths before thinking I needed to use mostly green, but your mostly white ones are absolutely beautiful!! And I have a ton of white buttons.

I love this Randi, it's so simple but so pretty! BTW Food Technology is our name for Home Ec. I made the lollipop biscuits with a class a few weeks back and they were a HUGE hit.

I'm really liking this blog! Thanks so much for posting photos of what you and your girl are doing. I have 1 son and 3 daughters (so far!) We enjoyed making the button wreath and I posted some photos on your flickr group. I used some pipe cleaners from the craft box for the wire and some fabric cut with pinking shears for the ribbon.
